The year of 2012

Today, I graduated from highschool. I was this school's salutatorian and I gave a speech. I graduated with 3.998 GPA.
This was a dream of mine. To be an honor student, to give a speech at graduation. I've learned that dreams come true if you are willing to work for them and follow your heart. I don't know how things would've turned out had I had stayed in public school. When I first decided to go to homeschooling I wondered if I was bailing out just because it was hard on me. But sometimes taking the path less traveled is the right thing to do. Mrs. Jacy, our administrator is one of the most amazing people I have ever known. I will never regret going to her school. I plan to start writing a book about her...we'll see with that.
My point is, that every time I've had a dream in my heart and I've been willing to work for it and listen to my heart, it has come true in spectacular ways. But it's not just the part where my dream comes true...it's the journey that is truly precious. And at the end of the day, I don't keep looking to the future when it's this moment not that matters so deeply to me. That's what it always brings me back to. It's always been about being true to myself.
I hope that I can keep to that challenge that I gave to both me and my fellow graduates. To be true to myself. I think I will...I cannot wait to share this joy with the world in more profound ways!
Thank-you!
